Chris climbed three spots this week on the ATP chart, rising to a new career-best singles ranking of #590. Additionally, Chris cracked the U.S. Top 50 singles list as he is now ranked #50 in the country. In doubles, Chris maintained his world ranking of #567 while his ranking among American players is #59.

At the Meyer Pharmaceutical Pro Futures (Irvine, CA), Chris advanced to the qualifying finals with a victory on Saturday against Witold Cudney (USA) 6-4, 7-6(1) and a win Sunday over Victor Lamm (FRA) 6-2, 6-1. On Monday at 11:30 a.m., Chris plays William Ward (NZL) for the right to advance to tournament's singles main draw. In the doubles main draw, Chris and will team up fellow UCLA Bruin alum Alberto Francis (USA). Main draw singles and doubles play begins on Tuesday.
