Plans are now in the works for Chris to host his first annual tennis camp in Sacramento, California.
The 2008 Chris Lam Tennis Camp is scheduled to take place during the month of December in sunny California. Chris is very appreciative of the help he was given as a young player and is looking forward to giving back to his community by hosting this camp. All proceeds from Chris' camp will go towards financially supporting the Chris Lam Foundation. In this week's installment of the ATP rankings, Chris dropped slightly as he is now positioned at #638 in the world in singles and #569 in doubles. Amongs Americans, Chris holds down the #51 and #59 spots in singles and doubles, respectively. Chris' next scheduled tournament is the $75,000 Swanston Challenger (Sacramento, CA), which is set to begin on Monday, October 8th at the Sutter Lawn Tennis Club.

Chris/LaPorte Rally to Win Opener! |

In the opening round of doubles at the St. Vincent's Futures (Little Rock, AR), #2 seeded Chris and Shane LaPorte (USA) rallied from a miserable start to defeat Greg Jones (AUS) and James Ward (GBR) 2-6, 6-3, 10-8. The first set was a disaster for Chris and LaPorte as the Jones/Ward combo dominated play in every phase as they rolled to a 6-2 advantage. With their backs against the wall in the second set, the #2 seeds finally got things on track by earning an early break. Before the set was done, Chris and LaPorte secured a second break as they evened the contest at one set apiece.
